GLOSSARY

Ramses terms.

Definitions with links to the docs.

Active liquidity

Tokens available for trades at the current price. Concentrated-liquidity positions outside their chosen ranges are inactive.

More in the docs
APR

Annual percentage rate. It turns an income rate into a yearly estimate without assuming rewards are reinvested. The estimate is not a promise or a measure of total profit.

General term
APY

Annual percentage yield. It estimates a yearly rate while assuming rewards are reinvested on a schedule. Actual results depend on those assumptions.

General term
AutoVault

A documented HyperEVM product that votes with xRAM automatically and turns rewards into a supported token you claim. The deposited xRAM and claimable rewards are separate balances.

More in the docs
Bin

A fixed price level in a DLMM pool. Liquidity providers can own shares in several chosen bins.

More in the docs
Burn

Removing tokens from usable circulation. Robinhood BuybackModule sends RAM to the dead address without calling token burn() or reducing totalSupply; token supply counters and unusable balances are different measures.

More in the docs
BuybackModule

Robinhood’s protocol-revenue destination since October 14, 2026. Authorized execution buys liquid RAM on market and sends it to the dead address. A direct RAM input can skip the purchase.

More in the docs
Compounding

Reinvesting rewards so they add to the assets backing a position. r33 reinvests into xRAM.

More in the docs
Concentrated liquidity

Tokens supplied for trading within a price range chosen by the liquidity provider.

More in the docs
DEX

Short for decentralized exchange: a place to trade tokens using blockchain contracts.

More in the docs
DLMM

A pool design that uses fixed price levels called bins. Fees stay in the pool assets backing liquidity providers’ shares.

More in the docs
Emissions

Token rewards distributed by the protocol. Under the documented gauged policy, eligible liquidity providers receive these rewards.

More in the docs
Epoch

A repeating accounting period. Ramses uses weekly periods starting Thursday at 00:00 UTC.

More in the docs
Fee tier

The fee rate a pool charges on swaps. This differs from how the collected fee is shared.

More in the docs
Fee-only pool

A pool where LP income comes from swap fees. The documented default gives LPs 95% and the protocol 5% of those fees.

More in the docs
Gas

The transaction cost paid in a network’s native token to carry out a blockchain action.

More in the docs
Gauge

A contract that tracks eligible liquidity rewards. Having a gauge does not, by itself, tell you a pool’s current fee split.

More in the docs
Governance

The people, permissions, and processes that can affect protocol settings. Staked xRAM votes direct pool rewards; they do not control every administrative change.

More in the docs
Holding comparator

What your original token amounts would be worth if you had kept them. The lab compares this with the liquidity position’s value.

More in the docs
hyperRAM

The HyperEVM name for r33: a tradable token representing staked xRAM, with automatic voting and reward reinvestment.

More in the docs
Impermanent loss

When an LP position’s tokens are worth less than holding the same starting tokens, before fees and costs. Withdrawing can lock in that difference.

More in the docs
In range

When a concentrated-liquidity position is between its price limits and can take part in swaps. Activity exactly at a boundary follows the pool’s tick rules.

More in the docs
Inventory

The amounts of each token in an LP position. Trading can change this mix as price moves.

More in the docs
Liquidity provider

Someone who puts tokens into a pool so other people can trade against them.

More in the docs
LP

Short for liquidity provider. People also use it to mean a liquidity position.

More in the docs
MEV

Value available from how transactions are ordered or carried out. Ramses documents ways to capture some opportunities, but capture is not guaranteed.

More in the docs
Noncustodial

Withdrawing LP assets requires control of the position or permission from its owner. Authorized protocol roles can still change settings such as fees.

More in the docs
Out of range

When price is outside a concentrated-liquidity position’s chosen limits. It holds one token and does not take part in swaps at that outside price.

More in the docs
Price impact

How much your own trade changes the price you receive by using the available liquidity.

More in the docs
Protocol fee

The part of collected swap fees sent away from direct LP income. It is usually a share of fees, not a share of the whole trade.

More in the docs
r33

A tradable token backed by staked xRAM. It votes automatically and reinvests rewards into xRAM backing. It is called hyperRAM on HyperEVM.

More in the docs
RAM

Ramses’ base token, also used for token rewards. Holding RAM differs from staking xRAM and voting.

More in the docs
Range order

A liquidity range used to turn one token into another as price crosses it. If price returns before withdrawal, the conversion can reverse.

More in the docs
Reward protection timer

A configurable rule aimed at reward abuse. On protected positions, early claims or liquidity changes can permanently lose affected token rewards.

More in the docs
Sarcophagus

Prior Robinhood protocol-fee exchange mechanism, closed there when revenue routing moved to BuybackModule on October 14, 2026. Do not use its fee-exchange model to explain current Robinhood buybacks.

More in the docs
Slippage

The difference between the expected trade result and the actual result. Your slippage limit sets how much worse the result may be before the transaction fails.

More in the docs
Smart-contract risk

The risk of loss from broken contract code, stolen control permissions, or problems between connected systems.

More in the docs
Swap fee

The fee a trade creates before it is divided among the eligible recipients.

More in the docs
Tick

A set price boundary used by concentrated-liquidity contracts when placing ranges.

More in the docs
TVL

Total value locked: the value of assets in a pool or protocol. In concentrated liquidity, this alone does not show how much liquidity is active now.

More in the docs
Vote incentive

A reward offered to encourage votes for a pool. It is separate from token rewards paid to LPs.

More in the docs
xRAM

A RAM-based token with transfer restrictions. Stake it to vote. Documented direct redemption returns 0.5 RAM per xRAM.
