Advanced Risk Check
Price direction and rounded boundaries

Read which token the price is quoted in before choosing boundaries. The lower price must be below the upper price, and the app may round boundaries to supported ticks. Check the final rounded interval, not only the values originally entered.

Changing token mix

A V3 deposit is not always split equally between its two tokens. With B per A pricing, a range entirely below the current price holds B; a range entirely above holds A. The mix changes as the market crosses the range. A one-sided entry may be an intentional range order.

When the position is active

A narrower range can become inactive sooner. Outside its range, a position stops supporting swaps and holds one asset; being out of range is not automatic liquidation. If you want it active immediately, include the current price within your chosen range.

Fees, rewards and waiting periods

Inspect the pool's current fee policy, emission eligibility and any reward-protection timer. Do not combine the separate fee-only and gauged income policies. Fees and rewards do not establish total profit after price changes and costs.

Deposit permissions and execution

Check the requested allowances, pool, recipient account, token amounts, transaction limits and gas. Price movement can change the required token mix before execution, so refresh a materially changed preview. Keep enough gas for later actions.

Position confirmation

Use the confirmed transaction and position record to reconcile ownership, pool, bounds and deposited amounts. Keep the position identifier available for later management. Completing a step in this learning kit does not execute or verify a blockchain transaction.

Troubleshooting

The form requests an unexpected token ratio.

Check the quote direction, current price and both bounds. CL positions do not universally start 50/50; a one-sided range needs the appropriate asset.

The position is out of range immediately.

Confirm whether that was an intentional range order, then compare the confirmed bounds with the live price. An inactive position is not automatically liquidated.

The deposit fails after price moves.

Read the reason and refresh the required amounts and limits. Review the new preview instead of assuming the original token mix still applies.
